Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Cochin
Arrive at Cochin International Airport, where our representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. Spend the evening at your leisure, taking in the charm of this picturesque port city. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Cochin Sightseeing
After breakfast, embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Cochin. Your itinerary will include historic sites such as Fort Cochin, which preserves its ancient Jewish heritage, the Santa Cruz Basilica, Mattancherry Palace, and St. Francis Church. Don’t miss the vibrant Jew’s Street and the iconic Chinese fishing nets at Fort Cochin beach. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Cochin to Kumarakom
After a refreshing breakfast, depart for Kumarakom, a beautiful destination located on the banks of Lake Vembanad, surrounded by stunning scenery. Engage with the locals by learning how to pluck coconuts and de-husk, break, and grate them to prepare delicious dishes flavored with exotic spices. Your itinerary also includes a visit to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, home to thousands of rare bird species. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Kumarakom to Alleppey Houseboat Cruise
After breakfast, set out for an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in a traditionally decorated houseboat. As you glide through these floating luxury villas, take in the sights of Chinese fishing nets, lush paddy fields, local artisans crafting coir products, rustic homes, ancient temples, and swaying coconut groves. Meals will be served onboard. You will spend the night on the houseboat, with the cruise concluding the next day in Alleppey.
Day 5: Alleppey to Kovalam
After a delicious breakfast served onboard, check out from the houseboat and drive to Kovalam. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. This beach town is a favorite among international tourists, offering the perfect setting to bask in the tropical sun and enjoy a golden suntan. Water enthusiasts can indulge in various beach activities such as kayaking, swimming, surfing, and skiing. You may also visit certified massage centers along the beach to pamper yourself with an exotic herbal body-toning massage. Overnight stay at the hotel near the beach.
Day 6: Kovalam and Trivandrum Sightseeing
In the morning, set out for a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Your itinerary will include notable attractions such as the Padmanabhaswami Temple, renowned for its towering gopuras and exquisite temple arts and paintings. The main pavilion of the temple features an impressive 400 intricately carved granite pillars. Your guided tour will cover additional attractions as well. In the evening, return to Kovalam for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Departure from Trivandrum
In the morning, you will be dropped off at Trivandrum International Airport for your flight back home, carrying with you wonderful memories of your holiday in “God’s Own Country.”
